Fishbowl helps kids with cancer on St. Baldrick’s Day

Instead of celebrating St. Patrick’s Day on March 17, 2010, the Fishbowl staff celebrated St. Baldrick’s. Nineteen brave Fishbowl employees got their heads shaved that day, and many others donated more than $1,000 to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation to help children with cancer.

There was a charitable atmosphere in the Fishbowl office as the employees stepped forward to get their heads shaved that Wednesday afternoon. We’re grateful for all of the generous donations and sacrifices these employees made to this cause.

This is the second month in a row that Fishbowl has stepped up and helped people in need. In February, Fishbowl donated first-aid supplies, food and other necessities to victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti.

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is the largest private supporter of childhood-cancer research in the world. Since 2000, the group has organized St. Baldrick’s Day events in 24 countries and every state in the United States, raising more than $74 million.
