IMPORTANT NOTICES:

  1. Click here for considerations before updating to the latest version.
  2. License Keys: When updating from a version earlier than 2017 to version 2017 or higher, you will need an updated license key. Click here to update your license key.
  3. When updating to 2017:
    • The database update will automatically migrate from Firebird® to MySQL®. A new database will be created and populated with all existing data. This process will take a significant amount of time, especially when updating large databases.
    • All shipping integrations will need to be reconnected after installing 2017.
    • Before updating to 2017, you must first be on Fishbowl version 2016.14.
    • If you have your Fishbowl Server running on a Mac, please contact our support team. The database migration tool will not run on a Mac. We will be more than happy to assist you in migrating your database.
  4. Customizations: If you have custom shopping carts, custom shipping integrations or custom reports, please contact the partner you purchased them from before upgrading to ensure they will work with the new version.
  5. Instructions: Please follow these recommended steps before you upgrade Fishbowl.
