Many 3PL companies use Fishbowl to track their inventory and distinguish between inventory items belonging to different companies. They do this by using Fishbowl’s location groups, consignment, drop shipping, serial numbers, multiple locations, and transfer orders. Multiple Locations – Create locations and sub-locations to store your items in. Then you can quickly transfer goods between locations and find items on specific shelves in your warehouses.
Warehouse Organization – Delineate between different companies’ goods by assigning them sub-locations within the larger warehouse in your inventory management system.
Consignment and Drop Shipping – You can use consignment locations, transfer orders, and purchase orders in Fishbowl, and you can also drop ship items on sales orders that are out of stock.
Serial Numbers – Fishbowl uses many inventory-tracking criteria, including serial numbers and lot numbers. You can also create others through Fishbowl’s custom fields.
Scanning – The Fishbowl Go app lets you use your smartphone or tablet as a barcode scanner. Print barcode labels to attach to items and shelves and then scan them to pick, transfer, and reorder items.
