IMPORTS

FishbowlSO.dat

This is the standard mapping file used when importing orders from Fishbowl into UPS WorldShip. This file requires that each customer have a street address, state and country set up on the ship to address(es), otherwise the import will fail. All other fields are optional and will be pulled in if they exist on the Sales Order in Fishbowl.

Mappings Contained:

  • The Sales Order number field is mapped to the Reference 1 field in WorldShip.
  • The Sales Order Residential Flag checkbox is mapped to the Residential Indicator checkbox in WorldShip.
  • The Ship Carton ID from the shipment is tied to the Reference 5 field in WorldShip. This mapping is required for information such as the cost and tracking number to export back to Fishbowl. This mapping can be modified to a different field other than the Reference 5 field, but it must exist.
  • The Company Name or Customer Name from the Sales Order is tied to the Company or Name field in WorldShip.
  • The Contact field from the Sales Order > Details tab is tied to the Attention field in WorldShip.
  • The Ship To Address line 1 from the Ship To address is tied to Address 1 in WorldShip. (Required)
  • The Ship To Address line 2 from the Ship To address is tied to Address 2 in WorldShip.
  • The Ship To Address line 3 from the Ship To address is tied to Address 3 in WorldShip.
  • The City field on the Ship To address is tied to the City or Town field in WorldShip.
  • The State field on the Ship To address is tied to the State/Province/County field in WorldShip. (Required)
  • The Zip field on the Ship To address is tied to the Postal Code field in WorldShip.
  • The Country field on the Ship To address is tied to the Country/Territory field in WorldShip. (Required)
  • The Carrier field on the Sales Order in the Shipping module is tied to the Service Type field in WorldShip. In order for the correct ship service to be selected, the carrier in Fishbowl needs to be set up as shown here: UPS Ground, UPS Next Day Air, UPS 2nd Day Air. The WorldShip mappings DO NOT use the Ship Service selection on the order.
  • The default Main type contact on the customer record, on the default Main Office type address, is tied to the Telephone field in WorldShip. The contact must be marked as Default. If the import of an order is taking a very long time to import, this mapping is most likely the culprit. Disconnect this mapping and then try the import again or use the FishbowlSO-NoPhone.dat mapping file.
  • The Weight field on the carton in the Shipping module is tied to the Weight field in WorldShip.

FishbowlSO-CustomerPO.dat

This mapping has all of the same requirements as the standard FishbowlSO.dat mapping file. In addition to those mappings, this import can pull in the Customer PO number from the Sales Order.

Mappings Contained:

  • This file contains all of the standard mappings (FishbowlSO.dat).
  • The Customer PO field from Sales Order is mapped to the Reference 2 field in WorldShip.

FishbowlSO-NoCountryNoPhone.dat

This mapping has all of the same requirements as the standard FishbowlSO.dat mapping file except that is does not require the order to have a country on the address and it does not import the customer phone number. Use this mapping file if you customer addresses do not contain a country and if imports are slow.

Mappings Contained:

  • This file contains all of the standard mappings (FishbowlSO.dat).
  • The Phone number mapping is disconnected.
  • The Country mapping is disconnected.

FishbowlSO-NoPhone.dat

This mapping has all of the same requirements as the standard FishbowlSO.dat mapping file except the phone number mapping is disconnected. Use this mapping if importing orders takes a long time.

Mappings Contained:

  • This file contains all of the standard mappings (FishbowlSO.dat).
  • The Phone mapping is disconnected.

FishbowlSO-NoCountry.dat

  • This file contains all of the standard mappings (FishbowlSO.dat).
  • The Country mapping is disconnected.

FishbowlE-SO.dat

This mapping has all of the same mappings as the standard FishbowlSO.dat mapping file with an addition of the customer email. The email addresses can be set up under the Main Office or Ship To but if an email address is set up on each, the Main Office email address trumps all. The email address contact on the customer also does not need to be set as default but it’s a good idea to set it as default. This mapping does require additional setup via tech support. To have this set up, call 1-800-774-7085 x3.

Mappings Contained:

  • This file contains all of the standard mappings (FishbowlSO.dat).
  • The customer email address from the Customer module is mapped to the Email Address field in WorldShip.

  • The Weight field on the carton in the Shipping module is tied to the Weight field in WorldShip.

FishbowlSO-ShipNum.dat

This mapping file is basically the standard FishbowlSO.dat mapping file, except for one change. It is designed to accommodate partial shipments. Currently, if you ship out part of an order and then go to import the second half of the order, UPS will tell you that multiple records have been found and it will import both. This mapping file eliminates that problem. The one major difference is that when typing in the order number to import you need to use a capital S then the number and then the proceeding -01 or -02. (e.g. S50079-01).

Mappings Contained:

  • This mapping file contains all of the mappings from the FishbowlSO.dat mapping file.
  • The Primary Key is the NUM field under SHIP instead of the NUM field under SO.

Fishbowl Batch.dat

This mapping file is designed to allow you to mass import Sales Orders from Fishbowl into UPS WorldShip. Notice, this import DOES NOT allow you to batch process orders in WorldShip, it only allows for batch import. You will then process the orders one by one.

To be imported with this import, orders must be in a Packed status and the Carrier must be set to UPS. Follow the steps below to use this file in WorldShip.

  1. Go to Import/Export Data
  2. Select Batch Import
  3. Select Fishbowl Batch.dat
  4. DO NOT check the checkbox for Process shipments automatically after import
  5. Continue through the wizard then go to History and these orders will show under Imported Shipments

Mappings Contained:

  • The Primary Key for this import comes from the UPSVIEW table as opposed to the SO table for the FishbowlSO.dat file.

  • The Country field on the Ship To address is tied to the Country/Territory field in WorldShip. (Required)
  • The Carrier field on the Sales Order in the Shipping module is tied to the Service Type field in WorldShip.

Fishbowl Export-Total.dat

This export mapping is used to send total shipment costs back to Fishbowl. This mapping is designed for single carton shipments only. It can be used with multiple carton shipments but it sends the total shipment cost back to each carton, thus doubling, tripling, etc… the cost of the shipment. In order to correct this, you will go into the Ship module of Fishbowl and edit the cost for all but one carton down to $0.

Mappings Contained:

  • The WorldShip Package::Reference 5 field is mapped to the SHIPPINGIMPORT table in the Fishbowl database and will not be visible in the Fishbowl client with this shipment. This field is required for the cost, weight and tracking number to attach to the correct order in Fishbowl.
