Instructions for integrating with FedEx Ship Manager can be found here. The Small.ShipExpress.png ShipExpress module and the Small.ShipStation.png ShipStation module also integrate with nearly all carriers.

FishbowlSingle.xml

This is the standard mapping file used when importing and exporting orders from Fishbowl into Ship Manager and back to Fishbowl. This file requires that each customer have a street address, state and country set up on the ship to address; otherwise the import will fail. All other fields are optional and will be pulled in if they exist on the Sales Order in Fishbowl.

Import Mappings Contained:

  • The Ship To Address line 1 from the Ship To address is mapped to Address 1 in Ship Manager. (Required)
  • The City field on the Ship To address is mapped to the City field in Ship Manager.
  • The Company Name or Customer Name from the Sales Order is mapped to the Company field in Ship Manager.
  • The Contact field from the Sales Order > Details tab is mapped to the Contact Name field in Ship Manager.
  • The Country field on the Ship To address is mapped to the Country field in Ship Manager. (Required)
  • The default Main type contact on the customer record, on the default Main Office type address, is mapped to the Telephone field in Ship Manager. The contact must be marked as Default. (If the import of an order is taking a very long time to import, this mapping is most likely the culprit. Disconnect this mapping and then try the import again or use the FishbowlSingle-NoPhone.xml mapping file.)
  • The Zip field on the Ship To address is mapped to the Postal Code field in Ship Manager.
  • The State field on the Ship To address is mapped to the State/Province field in Ship Manager. (Required)
  • The Ship Carton ID from the shipment is mapped to the Department – Notes field in Ship Manager. (This mapping is required for information such as the cost and tracking number to export back to Fishbowl. This mapping can be modified to a different field other than the Reference 5 field, but it must exist.)
  • The Sales Order number field is mapped to the P.O. Number field in Ship Manager.
  • The Carrier field on the Sales Order in the Shipping module is mapped to the Service Type field in Ship Manager. (In order for the correct ship service to be selected, the carrier in Fishbowl needs to be set up as shown here: FedEx Ground, FedEx Next Day Air, FedEx 2nd Day Air. The Ship Manager mappings DO NOT use the Ship Service selection on the order. ALSO, to edit or add to this list go into the Integration Assistant > Import tab > Conversion section then click on Service Type on the left and edit on the right.)
  • The Weight field on the carton in the Shipping module is mapped to the Weight field in Ship Manager.

Export Mappings Contained:

  • The Ship Manager Tracking Number field is mapped to the Tracking # field in Fishbowl. This information will be visible on the ship carton in the Ship module.
  • The Ship Manager Customer Rates – Net Charge field is mapped to the Cost field on the carton in Fishbowl. This information will be visible on the ship carton in the Ship module. (This field DOES NOT include handling charges or any additional service charges.)
  • The Ship Manager Department – Notes field is mapped to the SHIPPINGIMPORT table in the Fishbowl database and will not be visible in the Fishbowl client with this shipment. (This field is required for the cost, weight and tracking number to attach to the correct order in Fishbowl.)
  • The Ship Manager Miscellaneous – Weight field is mapped to the Weight field on the carton in Fishbowl. This information will be visible on the ship carton in the Ship module.

FishbowlSinglePONum.xml

This mapping has all of the same requirements as the standard FishbowlSingle.xml mapping file. In addition to those mappings, this import can pull in the Customer PO number from the Sales Order.

Import Mappings Contained:

  • This file contains all of the standard import mappings (FishbowlSingle.xml), with one exception.
  • The Sales Order number field from the Sales Order is changed to map to the Customer reference field in Ship Manager.
  • The Customer PO field from Sales Order is mapped to the P.O. number field in Ship Manager.

Export Mappings Contained:

FishbowlSingleNoCountryNoPhone.xml

This mapping has all of the same requirements as the standard FishbowlSingle.xml mapping file except that is does not require the order to have a country on the address and it does not import the customer phone number.

Import Mappings Contained:

  • This file contains all of the standard mappings (FishbowlSingle.xml).
  • The Phone number mapping is disconnected.
  • The Country mapping is disconnected.

Export Mappings Contained:

FishbowlSingleNoPhone.xml

This mapping has all of the same requirements as the standard FishbowlSingle.xml mapping file except the phone number mapping is disconnected.

Import Mappings Contained:

  • This file contains all of the standard mappings (FishbowlSingle.xml).
  • The Phone mapping is disconnected.

Export Mappings Contained:

FishbowlSingleEmail.xml

This mapping has all of the same mappings as the standard FishbowlSingle.xml mapping file with an addition of the customer email. The email addresses can be set up under the Main Office or Ship To but if an email address is set up on each, the Main Office email address trumps all. The email address contact on the customer also does not need to be set as default but it's a good idea to set it as default.

This mapping does require additional configuration from tech support. To request this configuration, call 1-800-774-7085 x3.

Import Mappings Contained:

  • This file contains all of the standard mappings (FishbowlSingle.xml).
  • The customer email address from the Customer module is mapped to the Recipient - Email Address field in Ship Manager (Under the ShipAlert tab).

Export Mappings Contained:

FishbowlSingleShipNum.xml

This mapping file is basically the standard FishbowlSingle.xml mapping file, except for one change. It is designed to accommodate partial shipments. Currently, if you ship out part of an order and then go to import the second half of the order, FedEx will tell you that multiple records have been found and it will import both. This mapping file eliminates that problem. The one major difference is that when typing in the order number to import you need to use a capital “S” then the number and then the proceeding “-01” or “-02”. (e.g. S50079-01)

This mapping does require additional configuration from tech support. To request this configuration, call 1-800-774-7085 x3.

Import Mappings Contained:

  • This mapping file contains all of the mappings from the FishbowlSingle.xml mapping file.
  • The Primary Key is the NUM field under SHIP instead of the NUM field under SO.

Export Mappings Contained:

FishbowlBatch.xml

This mapping file is designed to allow you to mass import Sales Orders from Fishbowl into FedEx Ship Manager.

  • To use this file in Ship Manager go to:
    1. Import/Export Data
    2. Select the Fishbowl Batch file from the list
    3. The profile will switch and a box will pop up asking to starting import
    4. Follow the instructions there to import orders in.
  • The orders require two pieces of information in order to be imported in with this import:
    • Must be in Packed Status
    • Must have FedEx set as the Carrier

Import Mappings Contained:

  • THIS MAPPING PULLS ALL IT'S INFORMATION FROM THE FEDEXVIEW IN THE FISHBOWL DATABASE.
(In order for the correct ship service to be selected, the carrier in Fishbowl needs to be configured as shown here: FedEx Ground, FedEx Next Day Air, FedEx 2nd Day Air.
