Fishbowl loves to serve. Every year we devote one day to getting out and serving our local community. We call it our Fishbowl Day of Service.
This Year’s Project
For this year’s project, we will be traveling to Cascade Springs near Sundance and Heber City, Utah, to assist the Forest Service in cleaning out a plant called watercress from the ponds and other areas of the park. We will also do some repair work on park pathways.
Fishbowl’s Day of Service usually takes place from late July to early September, but this year we have moved it up to Friday, June 5.(more…)
Fishbowl’s employees are out of the office today serving, just like we do every year. Today is the Fishbowl Day of Service, which is a special time for all of us to leave our usual jobs to go out and help people in our community.
We apologize if this causes any inconveniences to our wonderful customers. We just feel that it’s important to give back to people in need and who have given so much to us.
Today we are at the Central Utah Veterans Home in Payson, Utah, offering a listening ear and helping hands. It’s not as much physical labor as we’ve done in the past, but it is still important work to be with these people who have sacrificed a great deal for their country.
Every year Fishbowl employees take one day to focus solely on others’ needs in our community. We step away from our desks, close our office, go outside, and start serving people. We call this our Fishbowl Day of Service. It’s one of our favorite traditions.
We’re excited to announce our 6th annual Day of Service! This time around we will go to Central Utah Veterans Home in Payson, Utah on September 5, 2014.
This project will be unique from all the others we’ve done in the past. We usually go and paint walls, clean up areas, landscape, and do other things with our hands. But this time we’ll go to the Central Utah Veterans Home and serve the men and women who have fought for our country and the freedoms we enjoy. Activities will include interviewing veterans, recording their stories, playing games with them, and doing some minor projects at the facility.(more…)
