A hotkey is a combination of key strikes that act as a shortcut to actions that would otherwise require a little more effort to perform. For example, on a PC we can hold the CTRL button and then push S to save a document, image, or other file instead of having to click on one of the tabs at the top of the program you are in to find the “Save” button and click it.
There are numerous hotkeys that you probably use all the time without even thinking about it. They have become second nature over time.
The purpose of hotkeys is to speed up commonplace processes on the computer. Fewer button clicks and faster results – that’s what hotkeys are all about. With that in mind, we are going to cover all of the hotkeys that you can use in Fishbowl.
Here are all of the different types of hotkeys you can use and the modules they are available in:
- General (Order Line Items)
- Tab-Altering Hot Keys
- Transfer Order
- Sales Order
- Sales Order (Line Items)
- Picking (Line Items)
- Pricing Rule
- Purchase Order
- Bill of Materials
- Manufacture Order
- Payment Viewer
In the coming weeks we will burn through each and every one of these in detail to showcase these hotkeys in all their glory. If you’d like to see all of the hotkeys right now, please visit Fishbowl’s Documentation Wiki. This link will take you right to the Fishbowl Hotkeys article.
