Last week we covered how to pick items to fulfill orders, and that naturally leads into this week’s topic: the Shipping module. After all, picking, packing, and shipping go together like snap, crackle, and pop.
You can use this module to pack and ship items that you’ve previously picked. And there are a few other functions that we’ll get into as we explore the Shipping module.
When you open the Shipping module, you’ll see a number of shipments in the search panel. If you don’t see the one you’re looking for or if you want to narrow it down, you can search by Ship Number, Order Number, and Status.
Click on a shipment in the Search panel and the Ship Details will display on the right. You’ll be able to check each carton’s description, quantity, unit of measure, weight, and tracking number(s). You can add new cartons, delete them, and track their progress. If you look at the top of the interface, you’ll find a number of options to:
- Batch Shipment
- Get Quote
- Accept Quote
To do those last three things, you’ll have to choose UPS as your carrier.
