Fishbowl Dedicates 6th Annual Day of Service to U.S. Veterans

July 23, 2014
Every year Fishbowl employees take one day to focus solely on others’ needs in our community. We step away from our desks, close our office, go outside, and start serving people. We call this our Fishbowl Day of Service. It’s one of our favorite traditions. Fishbowl will serve veterans at its 6th annual Day of Service, Fishbowl BlogWe’re excited to announce our 6th annual Day of Service! This time around we will go to Central Utah Veterans Home in Payson, Utah on September 5, 2014. This project will be unique from all the others we’ve done in the past. We usually go and paint walls, clean up areas, landscape, and do other things with our hands. But this time we’ll go to the Central Utah Veterans Home and serve the men and women who have fought for our country and the freedoms we enjoy. Activities will include interviewing veterans, recording their stories, playing games with them, and doing some minor projects at the facility. Here are all of the other Days of Service we’ve done over the past five years: 2009 – Cherry Creek Elementary School in Springville, Utah 2010 – Provo House of Hope 2011 – Mountainland Head Start across Utah County 2012 – Barnett Elementary School in Payson, Utah 2013 – Lehi High School It is a pleasure to give back to the community that has given us so much. It will be particularly wonderful to spend time helping people who have put their lives on the line for us.
