Fishbowl came in second place in the popular vote for the 2013 Small Business Influencer Awards in the Corporations category and was then named a Top 100 Champion by a panel of judges.
One hundred and seven companies competed for this award. The top five were named “2013 Community Choice Honorees” and were considered by a panel of judges to see who would make it onto the Top 100 Champions list.
There are five other award categories besides corporations: news outlets, journalists, leaders, experts, and apps. Fishbowl was ranked No. 5 on the list of contenders across all the categories. Fishbowl beat out hundreds of competitors across all the categories to be ranked a Top 100 Champion.
The popular voting period lasted from June 25 to September 9, 2013. Official judging was then announced on September 19. An awards ceremony will be held in New York City on October 17.
Companies, individuals, and apps were judged on the following criteria for admittance to the Top 100 Champions list:
- Advocates on behalf of small businesses
- Provides products and services that address the unique challenges faced by small businesses
- Revolutionizes how small businesses do business and how they solve business challenges
