The General Subtab is where the summary of information regarding this order may be found. The General information may be edited if the order has an Issued Status. However, once the order has been started, the information beneath this subtab may not be edited. Your Work Order Number, Target Part, Description, and Type of order will be shown under the General Information section. Under this section you will also be able to view the Quantity ordered, quantity fulfilled, and the quantity remaining. If a stage has been associated with this part, it will be available beneath the Quantities.
Detailed information about the Work Order can be seen under the Work Order section of the general subtab. Here you may see the date the work order was started, as well as the date it is scheduled to be completed. The user who created the order is shown, as well as the status of the order (issued, building, partial, etc) and the projected cost. The Projected Cost is calculated by adding the average cost of each individual bill of material item and multiplying that by quantity of items being built.
If the Work Order was initiated by a Sales Order then the SO information will be shown at the bottom of the General Subtab. This information includes the Sales Order number, status, customer, and date issued as well as date expected. Line Item notes, if any, will be available directly beneath the sales order summary of information.
This subtab provides a summary of information for the Bill of Materials used to create this part. From this subtab you will be able to view the Target part, quantity ordered, fulfilled, and remaining. From this subtab you may also Print the Target Part's Memos, or the Bill of Material Notes.
If the part is being manufactured or repaired, the Bill of Materials will be visible beneath the Raw Goods:Parts to Add/Assemble section. If desired, you may add edit
, or delete
Bill of Material parts for this specific order by using the corresponding icons located on the Component Toolbar. However, it is important to note that Bill of Material items may only be edited if the Work Order has been started, with none of the quantity yet fulfilled.
The Module options for the Work Order Module will be displayed. Select the option to "Allow original Bill of Material items to be deleted from the Work Order". Press Ok to close the module options dialog box, and Save from the Module Toolbar to save any changes made to the Work Order.
Bill of Material items may be edited under this subtab; however parts may not be added under this subtab. To edit a part's tag number, quantity, or tracking info simply double click on the desired part, or highlight a chosen part and select the edit icon located on the component toolbar. The Modify Pick Data box will be displayed allowing the Location, Tag, Tracking Info (if applicable) or Qty of the part to be modified. When the appropriate changes have been made select Okto save your changes and close the Modify Pick Data box.
The following options are available to modify through the Pick Subtab:
Edit the Selected Entry: Edit Location, Qty, Tag, or Tracking information of your selected entry.
Edit Entry by Tag Number: Allows the Tag number and quantity within the specified tag number to be modified.
Edit Entry by Serial Number: Allows the user to select a different serialized part to be built on this order.
Duplicate the Selected Entry: This option will duplicate the selected item for this work order. The duplicated item will appear at the bottom of the list of BOM items.
Delete the Selected Entry: This option will delete items from this order's Bill of Materials.
If a part needs to be manufactured, but some of the bill of material items are not in inventory, these parts will be shown under the Parts Not in Stock section. If desired, you may still Finish the Work Order even with missing bill of materials. A dialog box will be displayed during the finish wizard informing you of the items not in stock and asking permission to still continue.
You may add a new note, edit
an existing note, or delete
a note by highlighting the line item to be changed and clicking the corresponding button located on the component toolbar.
You may print all the memo notes for a part by clicking on the Print Memos button in the top left corner of the main screen.
