From Fishbowl Inventory

Error Code: 0x0
Error Message: If the QuickBooks data file is not open, a call to the “Begin Session”method must include the name of the data file.

Reason:
This error means that somehow the connection between QuickBooks and Fishbowl has been disabled. The following steps will help you re-establish that connection.

Resolution:
1. On your Fishbowl Server computer, do the following things:

·       Log into the Fishbowl Client as admin

·       Log into QuickBooks as admin 

2. In Fishbowl, go to Accounting | Accounting | Accounting Configuration Wizard

·       Click through the wizard until you get to the QuickBooks Information screen. We recommend using the file currently opened in QuickBooks (assuming it is your correct data file open on the computer).

·       Continue through the wizard until you get the green ‘connection to QuickBooks succeeded’ message on the Connection to QuickBooks screen.

·       Click cancel out of the wizard and try to export from Fishbowl. 

Note: If you continue to have difficulties with exporting after the above steps, try the following:

I. Restart QuickBooks and your Fishbowl Server

-        Open your task manager on the Fishbowl server and close out of the Fishbowl Server, client, as well as QuickBooks.

-        In the task manager under ‘processes’, check the box at the bottom that says ‘Show processes from all users’.

-        End the task of anything that says ‘java.exe’ or ‘javaw.exe’ as these are still part of Fishbowl.

-        Also, end the process of QBW32.EXE as this is still part of QB

-        Now restart both QB and FB and continue steps 1-2 above.

II. Continue completely through the Configuration Wizard

-        Normally you do not need to continue through the entire Accounting Configuration wizard; just getting the green connection will be enough. If for some reason FB is still not exporting, go through the Accounting Configuration Wizard as shown in step 2 above. Do not cancel out when you get the green connection ticket; instead click through the entire wizard. Note: you will NOT want to import in information from QuickBooks into Fishbowl, so at the last screen make sure none of the importing boxes are checked.

-        Continue steps 1-2 above.
