Importing Part Information from Outside Systems (i.e. Excel, Access, etc.)

If you currently track your inventory in Excel, Access or other third party system then you can import that information directly into Fishbowl using Fishbowl’s import feature. Use this feature to import your part list/details, quantities, locations, vendors, customers, etc. directly into the Fishbowl Inventory database.

Creating Custom Reports (iReport)

Fishbowl Inventory comes with numerous standard, configurable reports. But your reporting needs may be unique to your business and so with each installation of Fishbowl a copy of iReport (similar to Crystal reports) is also installed. With iReport and knowledge of SQL you can create custom reports with Fishbowl Inventory data to suit your needs. When you save your custom report, simply drop it into whichever Fishbowl modules you choose. It is then available in Fishbowl Inventory every time you might need it in the future.

Module Access Control

As a manager you may wish to control the modules that your employees have access to. With Fishbowl’s Access module you have the ability to control access by any employee to any module. Also, if you don't want people from one warehouse to see the inventory in another warehouse, you can simply give them rights to the warehouse where they belong.

Part Status

Fishbowl Inventory tracks the location and status of every item you have in stock, whether it’s in a single location or in multiple locations. This information is available at the click of a button in multiple modules throughout Fishbowl Inventory.

Dashboard

When starting your day you shouldn't have to search through every module to find out what's waiting to be done within the company. To address this problem Fishbowl’s Dashboard brings all your "in process" functions onto one screen. At a glance, you'll see outstanding Sales Orders, Purchase Orders waiting to be received, Inventory needing to be picked, and Material ready to be shipped. Customize your Dashboard to show exactly what you want. Each item in the Dashboard is linked to its respective module so you can navigate right to the task with one click.
